Genoa, Nev. — A motorcyclist was helicoptered to Renown on Wednesday after going down an embankment around 5:15 p.m. on Highway 4 near Cemetery Curve in Alpine County, according to the California Highway Patrol. Rescuers also responded to a bicyclist with a big gash on his head near Turtle Rock Park about an hour later.

Rescuers responded to Riverview near Carson Valley Golf Course for a report of a vehicle vs. golf cart collision over lunchtime Wednesday. A person was reportedly thrown from the cart.

The Candy Dance forecast is coming into focus, and it’s going to be warm on Saturday with the high predicted to be 90 degrees in Minden. Genoa will be a little cooler, but if you’re buying candy bring a cooler unless you’re fond of fudge soup.

Today the high is predicted to hit 84 degrees under sunny skies with the eastern breeze forecast to die down this afternoon.
