NOTICE OF CLOSE OF REGISTRATION FOR THE
NOVEMBER 5, 2024, GENERAL ELECTION
Pursuant to NRS 293.560, notice is hereby given, of the following voter
registration deadlines for the November 5, 2024, General Election:
Standard Registration:
Deadline to register in-person or by mail is Tuesday, October 8, 2024.
• DMV registrations fall under this registration deadline.
• Mailed applications must be post-marked by this day.
• Anyone that registers during this period will be mailed a ballot.
Extended Online Registration (10/9-10/22):
• During this time period you may register to vote or update your
existing registration ONLY on the Nevada Secretary of State’s
website at: registertovote.nv.gov. You WILL still automatically be
sent a mail ballot.
o IMPORTANT: If you register or update your existing
registration online or in-person on OR after
10/23/2024, you may ONLY vote in-person at the
early vote center or at any vote center on election day.
Additionally, new registrants may only vote a provisional
ballot.
Online Same Day Registration (10/23-11/5):
• Register to vote or update your existing registration online
ONLY on the Nevada Secretary of State’s website at:
registertovote.nv.gov up to and on election day. You will NOT be
mailed a sample ballot, and you may NOT vote by mail.
• Anyone that registers during this period is considered a Same
Day Registrant and must appear in person, at the early voting
center or Election Day vote center to vote on an electronic
voting machine.
o Same Day Registrants must present a valid Nevada
DL/ID, or Tribal ID, and if applicable proof of residency.
Same Day Registrants vote a provisional ballot.
In-Person Same Day Registration (During Early Voting or on
Election Day):
Voters with a Nevada Driver’s License, Identification Card, or Tribal ID
may register to vote by visiting any vote center during early voting or
on Election Day.
• Same Day Registrants must present a valid Nevada DL/ID, or
Tribal ID, and if applicable proof of residency. Same Day Registrants
vote a provisional ballot.
• Early Voting and Election Day vote centers will be published,
included in sample ballots and available at GoVoteDouglas.com
