The Carson Valley Women’s Golf Club held their annual Club Championship golf tournament on both Sept. 10 and 24.
The tournament, taking place over a two-week period, is won by the combined total scores of both weeks. At the end of the two-week play period, the gross winner who captured the coveted title of “Club Champion” with a total gross score of 168 was Sara Dombrowski from Gardnerville. The net winners for the three different flights were Vickie Oland from Gardnerville for Flight No. 1 with a total net score of 142, Mary Milligan from Yerington for Flight No. 2 with a total net score of 152, and Joan Sciarani from the Yerington for Flight No. 3 with a total net score of 148.
“Congratulations to all these winners for not only bringing their A-game both weeks, but also for a job well done,” organizers said.
In addition to the championship, the club would like to recognize the winners of the closest to the pin and chip-ins side games.
“Over the two weeks of play these talented ladies scored a total of nine chip-ins by Omega Berryhill, Judy Brooke, Sara Dombrowski, Kelly King, Debbie Knapp, Julie Marraccini, Claudie Meyer, Debbie Steele, and Margie Stephens,” according to the club. “The closest to the pin winners with one each were Sue Eropkin, Jeanine Hansen, and Margie Stephens.
