A new design for Turtle Rock Park, which was damaged in the Tamarack Fire, has been presented to the public.
Alpine County announced it is conducting a Turtle Rock Park Master Plan Online Survey as part of the park's master planning process.
“Turtle Rock Park is a cherished recreational and natural resource for Alpine County residents and visitors,” county spokesman J.T. Chevallier said. “As part of the county’s commitment to enhancing the park’s facilities and recreational opportunities, this master planning process will help shape the future of the park based on community input.”
The survey will provide an opportunity for residents, stakeholders, and outdoor enthusiasts to share their ideas, priorities, and concerns regarding the park’s future development. Park amenities may include trail enhancements, campground improvements, recreational programming, environmental conservation, and overall park accessibility.
“Participants will have the opportunity to provide feedback on potential improvements and contribute to a long-term vision for the park,” Chevallier said. “The county values community engagement and believes that public input is crucial in guiding the decision-making process.”
