Douglas High School’s Carson Valley FFA students showcased their dedication, and passion of agriculture bringing home first and second place titles during the Nevada FFA State Convention March 23-26 in Reno.

Carson Valley FFA Advisor Rosealee Rieman said students compete in career development events, and participate in service projects and leadership development workshops during the convention.

“The students love this event because they are competing in career development events that give them real world examples and helps them demonstrate all the hard work and knowledge they have and prepared for over the entire school year,” she said.

Rieman said students have worked hard and she couldn’t be more proud of their accomplishments.

“I am so incredibly proud of these young women, and it is an honor to be their teacher and FFA advisor,” she said. “They are shaping the future of FFA leadership and hands-on learning at Douglas High School.  I can’t wait to see what the next few years have in store for them.”
