Friday night lights will have a spring flare this week as the University of Nevada football team returns to Carson High School for the second spring in a row.

Last season, the spring scrimmage was Saturday morning, but this year the Wolf Pack will host the event under the lights on the turf field at Carson High School.

Doors will open at 5:30 p.m. and the event is free. Food trucks and concession stands will be open.

The spring scrimmage will feature warm-ups, 7-on-7, special teams, bluezone lockout, first team and second team scrimmage, and young guns scrimmage.

Mixed in will be fan events such as tug-of-war, PATs and ‘fastest kid in Carson.’

The scrimmage is expected to run until about 7:30 p.m.
