Residents near Foothill and Kingsbury reported spotting a black bear lurking near Sierra Shadows Lane over the weekend, according to social media. The bears are making their way out of the mountains, so it’s time to make sure the garbage is secure.

The Monday Watercolor Collective’s show continues 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. today through Friday at the Carson Valley Museum & Cultural Center.
