A wind advisory for Carson Valley expires 1 p.m. today after two days of winds gusting to nearly 60 mph in places.

The advisory was originally set to expire at 4 p.m., but conditions have been settling since it was issued on Thursday.

A 59 mph gust was recorded along Highway 88 between Mottsville and Centerville lanes at 3:10 a.m. Friday. With 50 mph gusts 1-1:30 a.m. The same spot saw a 58 mph gust 9:50 p.m. Thursday. High winds knocked over a trailer in Gardnerville overnight.

A winter weather advisory expired at 10 a.m. without more than a few flakes of snow in Carson Valley, though the Pine Nuts experienced some early Friday morning.

Over the course of 72 hours that ended 10 a.m. Friday, Sheridan received 1.37 inches of rain, while a gauge in Alpine View hit 1.45 inches.
