Almost 80 individual nominations were received for 60 Remarkable Women by the time they were closed on Wednesday.
Returning to the Record-Courier after a six-year hiatus, The Record-Courier’s Remarkable Women recognizes women of the community in seven categories; Business-Entrepreneurship, Community Involvement, Mother, Mentor-Teacher, Woman to Watch, Young Professional (under 3 years in a profession), and Future President of the United States 13-18 years old.
“Every woman brings value by contributing unique skills, backgrounds, perspectives, and experiences and we want to recognize these Carson Valley women with this event,” said Record-Courier Associate Publisher Tara Addeo about the event.
“The campaign embodies and shines a light on the truly remarkable women living here,” said Addeo. “In 2018 and 2019, this was a sold out event and we expect it to sell out again this year.”
The Remarkable Women awards luncheon will be March 13 at the Carson Valley Inn and a special publication of the event will be published by the Record-Courier on April 2.
