Carson Valley Little League is seeking sponsors among community members, leaders, and businesses to enhance its facilities to help support the more than 400 athletes participating in the 55-year-old youth organization.

Over the past five years, the league’s juniors teams have secured district championships for three consecutive years and were state runners-up. Additionally, the 12-year-old teams clinched district titles in 2022, advancing to the state tournament.

“Our players consistently demonstrate resilience and excellence on the field,” said League President Janelle Hoover. “With the community’s support, we can provide them with facilities that match their dedication and talent.”

Working with Douglas County Parks and Recreation, the League’s immediate goal this summer is to install solar shade covers over each of the eight bleachers at Aspen Park, an endeavor estimated at $99,000. Long-term, the league aspires to construct an indoor practice facility, enabling year-round training regardless of weather conditions.

Operating primarily at Lampe and Ranchos Aspen Park, Carson Valley Little League manages 36-40 teams for children age 4- 15.

The league’s annual operating costs are approximately $70,000. To keep enrollment fees accessible, the League relies heavily on community sponsorships and player-led fundraising. While these efforts cover basic operations, they leave limited funds for essential maintenance and facility upgrades.
