Ryan Todd Nelson
A man awaiting sentencing after admitting to attempted sexual assault on a child appeared in court Sunday on a second count of battery by an inmate.
Ryan Todd Nelson, 40, faces 2-20 years in prison at his Feb. 24 sentencing in district court.
Nelson has been in custody since July 12, 2023, after being accused of four counts.
No details were available on the latest incident, but on Aug. 5, 2024, he grabbed another inmate by a shirt collar, prompting the first charge. Each charge carries the potential for up to six years in prison.
On Sunday, his bail was set at $25,000 cash or bond. He is scheduled to appear in East Fork on Feb. 26, after his sentencing in district court.
