Genoa, Nev. — An appeal of the revocation of a vacation home rental permit on Maryanne Drive in Stateline will go before the Vacation Home Rental Advisory today. The owner is accused of renting it while on a suspension and advertising it for more than the nine occupants allowed under the permit. Advisors meet 1 p.m. at Kahle Community Center.
Carson Valley Plaza is back before the Board of Equalization today seeking an almost 25 percent reduction in the valuation of the property from $41 to 31 million. It’s essentially the same appeal as the board denied last year, according to Assessor Trent Tholen. Board members meet 10 a.m. today in the Douglas County Courthouse.
On Tuesday, Douglas County Judge Tod Young appointed Brook Adie and contractor Ginger Simpson co administrators to current co-administrator Yves Tkaczyk. The judge was told to expect another 18 cases related to the resignation of Public Administrator Steve Walsh to be filed over the next two weeks.
