Genoa, Nev. — The ranchers on the Water Conveyance Advisory Board officially tabled the Muller Lane Parkway discussion indefinitely on Monday, though I’ve received reports they would prefer that the county and Park Ranch Holdings work out their differences.
It seems like there have been quite a few traffic collisions in and around Carson Valley, lately, including at least two on Tuesday, including one at Kingsbury and Foothill around lunchtime and a couple up around Carson Valley Plaza between 5-6 p.m. I can’t tell anyone was transported from those.
Bird counters spotted 8,021 birds with 97 different species on Dec. 29 as part of the Audubon Society’s Christmas Bird Count results I received on Tuesday. That’s down from 14,000, but that can be attributed to the rough weather, organizer Ben Sonnenberg said.
Minden Town Board members will discuss awarding the $471,400 to DOWL Engineering to design Minden Well No. 12. The Minden Town Board meets 5:30 p.m. today at the CVIC Hall.
Genoans will discuss increasing the rental rates for the town offices at their meeting 5:30 p.m. at the Town Hall. If approved, the Genoa Package including 16 hours of the town hall and kitchen and two hours of either the church or park will go from $1,562.50 to $1,718.75. There is also a proposed two-day rental.
The forecast calls for sunny skies and a high temperature of 45 degrees. The wind is predicted to be calm picking up to 5 mph out of the northwest this afternoon.
