Genoa, Nev. — An investiture ceremony for East Fork Justice of the Peace Laurie Trotter is 3 p.m. today in District Judge Tom Gregory’s courtroom in the Judicial & Law Enforcement Center in Minden. Trotter has been on the bench all this week.
A collision on Main Street near the Raley’s snarled traffic around 1:30 p.m. Thursday. I didn’t hear whether anyone was transported for treatment as a result.
Douglas County deputies stopped a driver who was reportedly weaving all over Highway 395 northbound through the Pine Nuts near Riverview around lunchtime on Thursday. I’ll follow up on that today.

Today is forecast to be another great day to get outside and do stuff, with sunny skies and a high approaching 60 degrees. That’s going to change over the weekend as a dry cold front rolls through bringing high temps down to 42 degrees, with a high of 38 forecast for Monday. Brrrr.
