One of four men accused of a series of stealing e-bikes last spring admitted to one count of theft on Tuesday.

Victor Vasquez Anguiano, 30, was arrested in California on a warrant issued when he failed to appear in court on Oct. 4, 2024.

Anguiano faces up to four years and a $5,000 fine in connection with the case.

According to court documents, Anguiano admitted he stole a generator on May 19 and three e-bikes on May 26, 2024. The thefts amounted to material worth more than $1,200 in merchandise.

Anguiano, a San Pablo, Calif., resident was free on $25,000 bond when he failed to show up in court for his arraignment.

He sought release from custody through his attorney William Swafford. However, prosecutor Ric Casper said Anguiano had been arrested on several charges since.

• A South Lake Tahoe woman admitted to charges of grand larceny and attempted grand larceny through an interpreter on Tuesday.

Suhail Robles, 48, is accused of withdrawing $1,500 from a Bally’s Cash Club card on July 3, 2024, that didn’t belong to her. She was also accused of trying to withdraw $3,074 through Venmo to pay for a medical procedure.

She is scheduled to be sentenced on April 15.

An Aug. 11 trial date has been set for a Gardnerville Ranchos man who is denying felony charges of lewdness with a child under the age of 16 and lewdness with a child under the age of 14 on Tuesday.

Ryan Christopher Hale, 38, appeared in Douglas County District Court with attorney Charles R. Kozak, who had just taken over the case. Attorneys estimated the trial would require four days.

 to adjudicate.

Hale was the subject of a Dec. 12, 2024, preliminary hearing where Investigator Nadine Jenkins testified that Hale’s home was where all the neighborhood children wanted to be.

Defense attorney Matthew Ence argued at that hearing he believed the state hadn’t met standard of slight or marginal evidence..

In the meantime, Hale was ordered not to have any contact with any of the children in the case.
