The Western Nevada CattleWomen are hosting their annual Dinner Dance fundraiser May 3 at the Douglas County Fairgrounds.
"We always have a great time at this event and truly believe that by bringing the community together, we can strengthen and preserve our agricultural heritage,” said President Emily Fulstone. “While it’s a fundraiser, it’s also a celebration of the hardworking individuals who keep the beef industry and rural agriculture alive. We’re excited to connect with more like-minded people this year, so we can continue to educate future generations for years to come.”
The nonprofit promotes and preserves rural agriculture in Western Nevada, as well as Inyo and Mono counties, to help the development and understanding of the beef industry through science and education.
The event starts at 5 p.m. at the fairgrounds, 920 Dump Road in Gardnerville. Limited tickets are available at the door and online tickets can be purchased here. Online ticket sales end on April 25.
The dinner is catered by A Catered Affaire paired with cocktails by CV Flyte. The evening will also include raffles, a silent auction and a live auction led by Grayson Haydn-Meyer, offering exclusive items and experiences. Following dinner and the live auction, guests may dance to music by DJ. Attendees and are encouraged to bring a branding iron to leave their mark on a barrel-turned-table, which will be auctioned off as a keepsake from the event.
Proceeds from the fundraiser will support the group’s agriculture scholarship program, efforts in agricultural education and assistance with agriculture-related events.
