Free school meals ending statewide

After four years of Nevada students receiving free meals, schools statewide will return to pre-pandemic policies at the completion of the 2023/2024 school year. “Universal free meals are coming to an end, but students who are eligible for free and reduced meals will still receive those benefits,” said Douglas County School District Director of School Nutrition Program Jordy Foster.

Long term goals for Gardnerville Station checked off

Though repaving Highway 395 is still in the works, two of Gardnerville’s longtime goals for Gardnerville Station have already been achieved. The connection to the detention basin under the Gardnerville Station parking lot and the softening of the Gardnerville S curve have both been completed.

Ranchos Roundup: Aktion Club recognizes Seeman Foundation support

When it first formed in 2016, Aktion Club of Carson Valley had seven members on the roster.
