Gardnerville resident, Tina Whitesides, passed away at home on Saturday 16th of October, after bravely fighting Alzheimer’s for the last decade.
Tina is survived by her husband, Albert (Sandy) Whitesides, her daughter, Laura Evans, and her siblings Paul, Annie, and Neil. She is proceeded in death by her mother, Doreen Rose, and her father, Raymond Paul.
Born in England, Tina moved to the United States in 1982, before setting up home in Gardnerville in 1983. Over the years Tina could have served you a drink at the original Pink House in Genoa, the Valley Bar, or the Pot Belly Deli. She might have cut your hair or given you a manicure or pedicure when she got her beauticians license, or she might have advised and served you if you frequented her health food store, Park Place Vitamins.
Always a lively character Tina loved music, hiking, gardening, spending time with her friends and family, and her dogs. Irreplaceable, she will be sorely missed, however the family are grateful she is now at peace.
The family would like to express their sincere appreciation and thanks to Advanced Home Health Care and Infinity Hospice Care in Reno for their wonderful assistance over the last year.
For those who desire to give a charitable donation, the family asks that your contributions be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
Details of a service are still to be confirmed and will be shared once agreed.
