James A. Otte, Sr., 91 years of age, passed away peacefully at home in Carson City, Nevada on September 6, 2021.
Born and raised in Omaha, Nebraska, he met his wife of 70 years, Jo Marie, at a roller rink. They soon married in November 1950, moved to Los Angeles, California and raised two sons, James Jr. 70 and Craig 64.
During the 60’s and 70’s he worked in the Aerospace Industry for Rocketdine & Rockwell on the Apollo and Space Shuttle missions.
In 1978 Jim and Jo moved to Carson City, Nevada. He drove a school bus for 15+ years and retired to enjoy bowling, golf, biking and walking. On February 27, 1997, he shot a perfect “300” game during league play at Carson Lanes!
Jim is survived by his wife, Jo Marie, son James, son Craig and brother Don.
