Sabrina Jeanette (Johnson) Collins

September 22, 1956 - May 20,2021

It is with deep sorrow that our family announces the passing of my daughter Sabrina jeanette (Johnson) Collins. She was born September 22, 1956 in Las Vegas, Nevada and received her wings on May 20, 2021.

She was preceded in death by her sister Misya Johnson, her brother Marty Newton, her father Walley C. Johnson and her uncle Bruce Clark.

She is survived by her mother Patsy Newton (owner of Buffalo Body Work Co.), her daughter Jessica Halstead and her three grandchildren, Kyle Rayseth, Haley Rose and Chase Belomy, her son Stephen Collins, her niece Ashly and spouse Will Poole and their son Trevor, her
brother Todd Newton and spouse Kellie and their family, her uncle Dock Hadlock and family and her aunt Suzie Sanchez as well as numerous friends.

Sabrina was a loving person with beautiful blue eyes and a wonderful smile that reflected her inner beauty, her gentle soul and her passion for life. She loved a crescent moon, which we would call a Sabrina moon. She loved nature and enjoyed camping, hiking and rock hunting. She collected gems and precious stones which she fashioned into fun and fabulous jewelry. Music and dancing were her favorite activities, but she was also a bit of a daredevil as she enjoyed exploring the many old mines in the Virginia City and Gold Hill area and would
often descend into the mines by rope.

Wherever she lived, she created a home that was artistic with beautiful colors, glass pottery, healthy green plants and her pet frog. She was a fantastic cook and loved to share that gift with friends and family.

She lived for two summers in an 18-foot tipi in Brunswick Canyon and at Washoe Lake. She also lived in the Washoe Haunted House in Virginia City. One of her high school teachers called her a “Legend in her time”. her life certainly lived up to that statement.

And Sabrina... God has shared you with us throughout our lives... so it is with great reluctance, Lord, we return this marvelous gift to your care and keeping. Please take
special care of her, we loved her very much. Her family.
