Matthew J. Miller, went to be with the Lord on the evening of August, 8th 2022 at the age of 49 years old.
Matt was born in Yerington, Nevada on February 12, 1973. He moved to Gardnerville around the age of 12 where he attended school and then graduated from Douglas High School in 1991. He was a skilled craftsman and specialized in custom cabinetry and furniture; this led
to him starting his own business, Willowbend Woodworks.
His favorite passions included coaching his two sons and daughter, as well as many other children throughout the Carson Valley community. He was an avid big game hunter, he loved hunting with his sons, family and friends and anyone else that wanted help hunting!
Matt will always be remembered for his generosity to anyone in need, his love of the Lord, his incredible loyalty to family and friends. His larger than life presence and loud boisterous voice will never be forgotten.
He is survived by his wife of over 20 years of marriage, Melissa, his daughter, Sidney Brockett and son-in-law Conrad Brockett, the first grandson, Cash Brockett, his twin sons, Jacob and Jared, siblings Rosemary Season, Jesse Miller (Wendy), Liz Patton (Chris) and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Carol Joyner and father, Larry Miller, and grandparents
Nora Joyner and Tommy E. Joyner.
A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, August 19th at Damascus Road Christian Assembly, 974 Tillman Lane, Gardnerville, Nevada, 89460 at 12:00 pm. A reception will follow in Yerington, Nevada
