Cappy Charles Gilbert “The Man, The Myth, The Legend”
To know Cappy Gilbert, was to love Cappy Gilbert.
Cappy was warm, tenderhearted, with such a kind demeanor and an infectious personality that it made you kinder to the people around you. When he loved anything, be it a person, a hobby, or a dog, he loved with everything he had. And that was never clearer than his love for his sister. Just look at his Instagram, it’s a love letter to her and their adventures through this valley. His passion, love and loyalty for his friends and family was unwavering.
We were all lucky to know Cappy, whether for a lifetime or just a conversation. He never met a stranger. Cappy will be deeply missed and remembered with great joy by his parents, Angel and Mike Gilbert, his sister and brother-in-law, Madison and Tyler May, his nephew Rawley May, his aunts and uncles, Dolly and Joe Masini, Candy Kerr and Charlie Horsman, Andy and Larissa Kerr, Bonnie Kerr, Paul Gilbert and so many beloved cousins and his loyal companion, his dog Cinch.
His family would like to leave you with a quote that Cappy liked from Suzy Kassom. “Life is like a piano; the white keys represent happiness and the black show sadness. But as you go through life’s journey, remember that the black keys also create music.”
