Frederick Francis Petrosinelli Jr. (89) passed away on Wednesday, January 19th at Carson Tahoe Regional Medical Center. Born October 13, 1932, in Providence, RI, he was the son of Frederick and Adeline Petrosinelli. Frederick (Red) was the oldest of six children.
Red served during the Korean War with the US Army’s 101st Airborne Division. He was very proud of his country and what our flag represents. Upon returning from Korea, Red worked as a deliver driver for Atlantic Jewelry. It was there that he met his future wife, Mary Bernadette Killion, and they enjoyed 65 years of marriage.
Red, an avid Boston sports fan, also enjoyed fishing, cooking, and gardening. He is survived by his wife, Mary of Gardnerville, NV; daughter, Donna (Paul) Brewer of Laguna Niguel, CA; daughter, Sandy (Steve) Lewellen of Gardnerville, NV; and daughter, Deborah (Ron) Mills of Gardnerville, NV. He is also survived by his brother, Larry (Vinnie) Petrosinelli of Providence, RI; Raymond (Louise) Petrosinelli of Buckley, WA; and sister Doris (Bob) Smith of Gardnerville, NV. Additionally, Red had six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and sisters, Edith (Bruce) Crosby and Janice (Mark) Peterson.
Red was a loving son, husband, and father. He will be greatly missed.
