Surrounded by love, Ellen Marie Bartolomucci passed away on January 26, 2022 at her home in Gardnerville, Nevada. Ellen was a warrior fighting diabetes and cancer.
Ellen was raised in Thousand Oaks, Calif. and graduated from La Reina High School in 1977. She went on to receive her Associates Degree in Interior Design.
Ellen moved to the Lake Tahoe area and raised her two beautiful children, Angela and Kamrin. While she was raising her children and working for interior designers, sewing and upholstering furniture, she met the love of her life, Mark Bartolomucci. They were married in
2004 and worked together in each of their businesses, Ellen’s Interior Design and Sewing Company, and Mark’s business, Sierra Wood Products. They relocated to Gardnerville, Nevada where Ellen opened her store front under the same name, and her daughter Angela
became her business partner.
Ellen expanded her talents by creating beautiful glass art pieces that she sold at craft shows. She loved her dogs, especially her St. Bernard, Bella. She and Mark enjoyed camping, jeeping, biking, and fishing from the Sierras to the Northern California Coast.
Ellen is survived by her husband, Mark, daughter Angela (Ryan Villalobos) Barrett, son Kamrin (Sarah Drinkwine) Barrett, and three grandchildren, Ava, Logan, and William. Her brothers Mike (Marcia) Barrett, Bill (Tricia) Barrett, and sister Nancy (Monte) Williams. In-laws, Dan
(Sylvia) Bartolomucci, sister-in-law’s Diane Malley and Lisa (Chris) Shewman, along with many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Ellen was preceded in death by her parents, Richard and Ethelyn Barrett.
A Celebration of Life will be planned at a later date.
