Lauren was a bright light to all who knew her. Kind, sensitive and caring. She loved animals and had many—dogs, cats, goats, turtles, hamsters, rats, chinchilla and rabbit--lovingly caring for each. She was an artist with graceful creativity, imagination and beauty. She worked for her mother at her law office as a legal professional for many years as well as other jobs. Most recently she filled her soul with work at the Food Bank of Northern Nevada. She also volunteered for several years for a nonprofit called Coffee Strong in Washington helping veterans with legal support to assist them in providing much needed benefits.
Lauren’s greatest legacy was her deep desire to help others whether it was delivering food to the homeless or serving children hot meals at a local school through her job at the Food Bank of Northern Nevada. She loved art, music, poetry, weightlifting and body building having
participated in several competitions. In her too brief life, she accomplished much and traveled the country living in Washington and attending Evergreen State College, receiving her bachelor’s degree in Political Science and Psychology, she attended North Carolina Central
University, School of Law and then moved back to Reno, Nevada to work with her mother and to be closer to family. She also loved to travel around the world to such amazing places as Belgium, Greece, Thailand, Panama, Mexico and the Caribbean Islands.
