Richard “Dick” Lorenz Bell, longtime Reno and Carson City resident passed on June 26, 2022
at home following a brief hospital stay. Born on September 9, 1942 in St. Cloud City, Minnesota to Anton C. and Johanna “Joan” L. Bell (Wirtzfeld).
Dick worked in the retail furniture industry in Carson City and later owned different furniture
and mattress stores in Reno.
He is survived by his wife, Claudia, Sons Mark (Diane) and David (Johanna), Grandsons David, Benjamin (Caitlin) and Jackson, Granddaughters Caroline, Kristie, Mikayla and Lindsay, and Great Grandson Jack, born a couple of weeks before he passed.
Preceding him in death were his parents, and his daughter Jennifer.
A Celebration of Life will be at Dan & DeLee’s Home, 16700 Mt. Rose Highway, Reno, NV., 89511 on Sunday July 24, 2-4 pm. All are welcome. An expanded obituary is available on Walton’s Funerals & Cremation’s website.
