It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Lavonne “Lilli” Frost. She passed suddenly on February 27, 2022 at the age of 80. Lavonne was born in Minneapolis, MN to Kenneth and Helen (Blomberg) Latvala. She was the oldest of five children.
LaVonne was raised in Reno, NV and graduated from Reno High School in 1959. She moved to Carson City, NV in the early 1970’s where she resided until her death. LaVonne worked for the State of Nevada and various attorneys, but ultimately made selling real estate her career. LaVonne lived a life of service. She was kind and loving to all that knew her. LaVonne was a Hospice volunteer for over 30 years and participated actively in several other organizations.
LaVonne was a selfless person and loved by so many. She always put the needs of others first and sacrificed so much, sometimes to the exclusion of her own. God had a plan for Lavonne, which she fulfilled and he called her home. We will cherish LaVonne’s memory in our hearts
forever. She will be desperately missed by all those left behind. Our hearts are so broken by this unexpected loss, but we know heaven gained an angel.
LaVonne was preceded in death by: Her parents, brother Kenneth Latvala, Jr and grand
daughter Danielle Buchholz.
LaVonne is survived by her children: Craig Buchholz (son) of Carson City, NV Lyndi Frost Johnson (daughter) of Sparks, NV and Beth Stanley (step daughter) of Nampa, ID; 5 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, her sisters Judie Day, Betty Deones and brother John Latvala, as well as, several nieces, nephews, cousins and countless others that referred to her as “Granny Goose,” “Goose,” “GV,” “Gramma Von,” “Gram” and “Granny.”
Services will be held at Walton’s Funerals & Cremations - Chapel of the Valley 1281 N Roop St, Carson City, NV 89706 on March 25, 2022 at 11:00am. Reception immediately following.
