Nadine Prior, longtime Carsonite and previous owner of the Greeno Hotel and Fireside Inn in the 1960's, passed away of natural causes at age 92.
She was born on New Year's Eve in 1929 in Sonora, CA to Wm and Myrtle Boyer. She was the middle of 4 children with twin older brothers, Lowell and Lyle Boyer and younger sister Naverne Tripp.
She loved painting, flowers (esp. Roses) and her Pekingese pets. She always kept eye opening floral backyard. She was a member of the Nevada Artist Association with many showings including the Nevada Legislature Bldg.
She was married to Frank Prior (dec 1994) for 40 yrs. She had 2 children, Denise Atkinson (dec 2020) and Charles Prior. She had 3 stepchildren, Sharon Cunial, Susan Julian and Richard Prior (dec 2018).
There will be a viewing at Walton's Chapel of the Valley on Friday, March 18th from 3:00-5:00pm and a celebration of life when all the flowers are blooming later this Spring.
