Kitty Greer Hammon, 63, of Fallon Nevada, passed away July 24th after complications from surgery.
Kitty was born on October 1, 1959, to Ken and Doc Bryant in Punta Gorda Florida. They moved to Fallon in 1968. Kitty attended Fallon Schools graduating in 1977.
On February 10, 1978, she married her high school sweetheart, Bob Hammon. They went on to have three children, Samantha Stasik (Dan), Mindy Hammon, and Brody Hammon (Michelle).
Kitty was affectionally called Nanny by her grandchildren. She has seven grandchildren, Lucas, Lacee, Ryan, Dierks, Bartell, Mason, and Hayes.
She was preceded in passing by her parents, brother-in-law Clark Knauss and longtime family friend Bartell.
She is survived by sisters Karen Knauss, Pixie Catlett, Beth Atkins, along with brothers Lindsey Bryant and Clayton Bryant, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
In 1990 Kitty and Bob established Hammon Construction which is still an active successful business today. Kitty and Bob worked long days that were totally enjoyed getting the business up and running. Despite the hard work, she found time to be a loving mother and wife for her family.
Family was Kitty’s main interest. She loved to do yardwork, cook, bake, and craft. Her Nanny burgers were a big hit at mealtime. She loved camping, hunting, and fishing. She didn’t need much of a reason to be outdoors which got increasingly more enjoyable when the grandchildren started to go.
As her kids were growing up, and then the grandchildren, there were not many weekends where you would not find Nanny at a sporting event.
Don’t cry because it’s over; smile because it happened.
No services will take place, as Kitty requested. The family appreciates your love and support during this difficult time.
