Daniel ‘JOE’ Mattingly left this life May 7th, 2023. Born in Quebec, Canada in 1952, Joe grew up on a farm in Tipton, Indiana. He was and always will be a good ‘ol boy, whose handshake was better than a contract.
Joe drove Peterbilts coast to coast. He worked for Sandvik and Komatsu for many years as a drill tech, heavy equipment operator and mechanic. Traveling as far as the northwest territories to work at a diamond mine. Joe came home to his wife, family, and to work for his business, J&T Equipment repair & rental.
Joe met Tina when Gwyn-their daughter-was 4. After one date they were inseparable for 45 years. In his free time, Joe enjoyed turning wrenches on tractors, working on his rat rod, escaping into his shop to watch westerns, and loving his wife and family.
Joe is survived by his wife, Tina Mattingly; daughter, Gwyn Douglas; granddaughter, Haley Douglas; grandson, Chatten Fackler; great grandson, Chance; brother and sister in-law, Bill, and Debbie Satterfield; brother and sister-in-law Matt and Beth Mattingly.
Joe was preceded in death by his mom and dad, Daniel, and Tommie; sister, Molly; great granddaughter, Ava; and son-in-law, Jake Fackler.
