Randy aged 62, passed away on January 26, 2023, at his home surrounded by his loving family.
Randy was born August 12, 1960, in Madera, California to Lois Antoniazzi Pruneau and Terry Pruneau where his father was stationed while serving in the Air Force.
His family moved to Reno when Randy was young, then eventually made their home in Carson City, Nevada. Randy married his loving wife Jamie in 1983. They welcomed their daughter Kim in 1987. Randy worked for the Carson City Water Department.
He then went on to start his own landscaping business and eventually retired as a contractor, building beautiful homes in Carson City, Reno and Gardnerville areas with his brother Steve Pruneau. Randy was a very hard worker at all his jobs and could fix anything.
Randy’s passion, besides his family, was hunting, fishing and exploring the outdoors of Nevada. He knew the backroads of Nevada better than the streets and highways. His family often called him “Our Grizzly Adams”. Randy loved all sports, baseball, basketball and
football were his favorites. Randy excelled in baseball and basketball. He was also an avid golfer. He worked for Silver Oak Golf Course in his retirement.
Randy is survived and greatly missed by his wife of nearly 40 years Jamie, daughter Kim, grandson Jayden, granddaughter Laela, father Terry Pruneau, mother Lois Pruneau, brother Derrick (Jessica) Pruneau and brother Steve (Casey) Pruneau. He is also survived by many
nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, in-laws and many friends.
Randy will be missed forever. He was a very special person. He had a wonderful sense of humor that his family and friends enjoyed. He was always willing to help anyone who needed it. He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, uncle, in-law and friend.
There will be a celebration of Randy’s life in the Spring/Summer of 2023.
