It is with great sadness that the Livermore family announces the unexpected death of James Michael Livermore, 74, who passed away on May 21, 2023. He will be forever loved and remembered by his wife, Penny; his sister, Patricia and her husband, Jim.
Mike was born on September 25, 1948, graduated from El Camino High School and pursued a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work at UNR. He held a number of careers, but finally settled into the Workers’ Compensation field where he met and married his wife. Mike retired as Claims Supervisor for ASC after many happy years of employment. Ever since his retirement in 2020, he spent every chance available to work in his yard, reorganize his beloved garage, picnic, read, and especially be a good husband, friend and neighbor.
Mike is survived by his son Patrik, his partner Ann Margaret and their children Mikaela and Annika; his son Martin, his wife Jennifer and their children Tristian, Alexandra, and Zack; his niece Kathleen and her daughter Allyssa; his nephew Sean, his wife Gina and their children Ryan and Shannon; his cousin Katherine; and finally his cat Cougar.
Memorial Service will be held at Calvary Chapel Northwest Reno, 246 Courtney Lane, Reno NV 89523, on June 10th at 4pm. Reception to follow. Mike would have wanted his friends and family to provide any financial contributions in his honor to the charity of their choice.
