Bruce Crouch passed away peacefully on March 6, 2023, surrounded by his family.
Bruce was born in Toronto, Canada, and lived there until the age of ten. The family moved to the Los Angeles area at that time and settled in Whittier. His mother had been born in Scotland, and his father in Ireland.
After graduation from Whittier High, Bruce entered the US Army Reserves. He later graduated from Cal Poly Pomona College, and from there started a very successful lifetime career at Home Savings of America.
He enjoyed skiing, golf and travel and as many have said, he never met a stranger. He was a sociable, fun-loving and charismatic individual.
After his marriage to Marion in 1998, they eventually moved to Northern Nevada to enjoy golf and living in the beautiful Sierra Nevadas. He had lived in the Sunset Beach area of Southern California for many years before making the move.
He is survived by his wife Marion, her daughter Lisa, his daughter Cynthia, and grandsons Cody, Cameron, Luke and Robbie. He is also survived by his sister Mary and her husband Charles.
Bruce will be greatly missed by his family and many friends. There is an Irish saying, “In heaven, there is no beer. That’s why we drink ours here.” Cheers, Bruce. NFL
