Carol Dawn Peterlin, age 72, passed away on March 8, 2023, at home in Minden, Nevada
Born December 22,1950 in Huntington Park, California to William and Joyce Wolfe. She lived and attended schools in Santa Fe Springs, California where she completed high school. She attended Rio Honda College. She worked at El Camino college and Norwalk City Hall as a secretary. She met and married Jim Peterlin on October 10, 1970. They spent their honeymoon in South Lake Tahoe. They met in Hawaii in 1971 on Jim’s R&R from Vietnam to celebrate a second honeymoon there. Carol and Jim celebrated 50 years of marriage a year later in 2021 in Fort Bragg and Pacific Grove, California since 2020 was the year of Covid 19. Carol was involved in many children programs in schools being a teacher’s assistant and with Christian activities being a children’s Bible Study leader. Carol was a very compassionate, caring, and welcoming person. Generous, kind, and loyal to all. She was a talented cook, knowledgeable with Slovenian and Croatian cooking. She loved to share her life’s experiences living abroad in England and was also a good listener. She much enjoyed taking care of the grandchildren while Scott and Michelle were working. She passionately loved her family and friends, always ready to welcome them into her life and home.
Survived by her husband, Jim Peterlin, son, Scott Peterlin, Daughter-in-law, Michelle, Grandchildren, Zackary, Sophia, and Ella.
