Leone Stahl sadly passed away, yet peacefully, at the age of 85 on November 2, 2023, in Carson City, NV. Leone is preceded in death by her husband, James’s “Jimmy” Stahl; parents, Chester Hard and Mary Ellen Hard; and sisters Karen (Debbie) and Dorothy (Kelly, Kari and
Kasi). Surviving are her three sons, John Kennedy (Kim), Micah Kennedy, and Marty Kennedy (Nicole); her four grandchildren, Erin (Shane), Logan, Olivia (Patrick), Jordan, and Elliette, and her great grand-children Vail and Trent. Leone was born in Portola, CA on March 29, 1938, and grew up in Meadow Valley, CA. In 1965 she moved to Carson City, NV where she dedicated 27 years working for the State of Nevada, Department of Public Safety.
Leone had a love for the outdoors, including hunting and fishing. She also loved Elvis and would dance any chance she could. She also had a love for needle-point. Leone was a long-time member of the VCMM organization in Virginia City. Leone was one of the most resilient women who walked this earth. She always looked to the brighter side of things in life and her family was the most important piece to her existence. She cherished her three boys, grand-children, and great grand-children and friends. Leone always challenged her three boys to be respectful, non-judgmental and to be givers.
She was very loved and will be terribly missed. Friends & family are invited to say a final goodbye to Leone on November 18, 2023, at Meadow Valley School, in Meadow Valley, CA at 11:00 a.m.
