Lawrence Martin Maes, also known as Lawrence Maes, passed away on September 28, 2023, at the age of 59, in Fallon, Nevada. Born on November 26, 1963, in Pueblo, Colorado, Lawrence had a rich and fulfilling life.
Lawrence proudly served in the US Army and was a dedicated member of the Carpenters Union. He achieved numerous accomplishments throughout his life, too many to mention. Lawrence’s passion and dedication to his work were evident in everything he did.
He will be deeply missed by his loving family. Lawrence is survived by his parents, John and Vicky Walls, and his sister, Roberta, all residing in Silver Springs, Nevada. He was preceded in death by his sister, Catherine Gonzalez of Reno, his brother John A. Maes, and his father, Robert L. Maes, both of Pueblo, Colorado. Lawrence also leaves behind his cherished cousins, Priscilla, and Dustin, from Utah, and the Maes family from Pueblo, Colorado.
In addition to his family, Lawrence had a wide circle of friends who loved him dearly. Among them were Brad, Joanne, Larry, Rhonda, Chris, and Josh who provided unwavering support and friendship throughout his life.
Lawrence Martin Maes will always be remembered for his dedication, achievements, and the love he shared with those around him. His memory will forever live on in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing him.
A ceremony to honor Lawrence’s life was held on Monday, October 23, at the Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Fernley, Nevada. This gathering was enjoyed by family, friends, and loved ones who came together to pay their final respects to a remarkable individual.
