Earl Dean Capehart

August 17, 1933 - September 22,2023

Born on August 17, 1933 in Oklahoma, Earl Capehart, a devoted husband, loving father, caring grandpa, and true friend, passed away on September 22, 2023 at the age of 90. He leaves behind a legacy of love,
laughter, and cherished memories that will forever
be engraved in our hearts.

Earl enlisted in the Army prior to graduating high school and proudly served our country in the Korean War. One of his passions in his thirties was to watch planes take off and land, which led him to get his pilot’s license. An avid golfer, Earl found solace and camaraderie on the greens, and in his later years became a Golf Course Marshall. After retiring from the grocery business, Earl moved to Gardnerville, NV to be closer to his daughter. Soon after, Earl joined the Elks Club Minden/Douglas Lodge #2670. He was a loyal Elk member for twenty-six years and held many positions including Exalted Ruler and was Elk of the Year 2001-2002. If Earl wasn’t on the golf course, he was volunteering with the Elk brothers and sisters.

Earl leaves behind the love of his life, his wife, Sally Sue Capehart. Through her, he rediscovered his faith and connection with God. Daddio, you will forever hold a most special place in our hearts, and your memory will live on in the stories we share. Rest in peace, you will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved you.

Graveside services will be held at Eastside Memorial Park October 9, 2023 at 11:00 am. A Reception will follow at the Elks Lodge in Gardnerville, NV.
