Theodore “Ted” William Bierman, 48, passed away peacefully on August 6, 2023, with his family at his side. Born September 22, 1974, in Carson City, Nevada, Ted found his final resting place in Meridian, Idaho where, way too soon, his mother called him home.
Son to Doug and the late Shirley Bierman, Ted lived his young life in Nevada with his three siblings: riding his bike through sagebrush, camping, fishing, and tending to his collection of pets. Over the years Ted grew into his sweet, genuine self and adopted a personal style that duly summed up his easy-going sensibilities: pajama pants, frayed baseball hat, coffee cup, and a lazy grin. He had no pretenses. Ted was ineffably selfless, kind, and unflappable—always prioritizing friends’ and family needs above his own. It was his true nature to be sensitive, steadfast, and loving.
When Ted courted Lara (Baker) with a sparkle and a smile, more than a quarter century ago, one thing was certain: he was serious about loving her completely. Together they shared a rich life, wholly realized by the arrival of their daughters, Rylee, and Olivia—the centers of their universe.
Ted cherished being a dad and making his girls laugh; his silly sense of humor guaranteed an abundance of chuckles, chortles, and dad jokes. He could often be found in nature, exploring the mountains by foot and by Jeep, cultivating his gardens and pond, or watching the Vikings. He taught his girls the importance of following their dreams, living in the moment, being authentic, compassionate, and simply being good-hearted. He would say that knowing and loving his three girls was the success story of his life.
Ted is survived by his wife, Lara, their daughters, Rylee and Olivia, and his dad, Doug Bierman (Jody Sullivan). Ted also leaves behind his siblings, Sara (Christoph Blattler), Paul, and Anna (Jared Tatro), as well as a whole clan of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins. Preceding him in death are his beloved mother, brother, grandparents, and niece.
Family and friends are invited to attend a celebration of Ted’s life September 24, 2023, 2:30-4:30 at the Idaho Botanical Gardens. In lieu of flowers, the family requests those who wish to express sympathy to consider donating to the Rylee and Olivia College Fund c/o Edward Jones 12 N Echo Hawk Ste 101, Eagle, ID 83616.
