Our devoted husband, father and grandfather passed away peacefully in his favorite chair, in the house that he built with his beloved wife by his side on Jan. 17.
Ted was born to William and Anna Teresa Britton on November 4, 1939, in Norwalk, Conn. He moved his family to Nevada in 1967.
He was a member of the Sheet Metal Workers Local No. 26 and had just received his 60-year pin.
His favorite yearly event was an annual bird hunt with his sons. Ted traveled throughout the East and Nevada, as well as Mexico, Europe, and the Panama Canal.
He was predeceased by his father William and mother Anna Teresa Britton.
He is survived by his loving wife Judy, sons Ted J. (Darla) and Dan (Lori); daughter Melinda Sarman (Mike) and treasured foster son Richard Hogan; brother Bill; brother-in-law Ken (Gloria) Reed, grandchildren Kendall, Kylie, and Mason Britton and Leanna Wade and Trent Sarman and great grandchild Leo Young, and many nephews and nieces’.
A memorial service will be held at St. Gall Catholic Church, March 9th at 11 a.m. with a reception to follow at the Carson Valley Country Club Papa Ted know that you are loved and will be sorely missed.
