On the evening of December 21st, 2023,Carolyn LeGrand went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
Although the last few years have been filled with pain and suffering, brought on by disease, Carolyn lived a full and beautiful life. She chose to focus on the positive and on the needs of loved ones, and even those she barely knew. She loved to share the hope she had in the Lord.
Her most proud accomplishments included her family and serving others as a friend, Sunday School teacher, Mothers of Preschoolers mentor, Women’s Bible Study leader, manager of a Navy Child Day Care Center, and running her own Day Care. Carolyn also loved being in the Red Hats. She loved so many and with her whole soul. Her love will live on in those that she loved so well.
Carolyn was preceded in death by her mother and father, Laura and Robert Knox, and her brother, Larry Sackett.
She is survived by her husband, Donald LeGrand, and her three children, Elizabeth (Jeff) Wellman, Leslie (Lenn) McGraw, and Robert (Kara) LeGrand. As well as her beloved grandchildren: Shawn (Theo) Webb, Chad (Nichelle) Cooper, Nathan (Jamie) Cooper, Jennifer
(Craig) Maxson, Andrew LeGrand, Donald LeGrand, Ian McGraw, and Casey McGraw, and her ten precious great-grandchildren. Carolyn is also survived by her brother Steve (Olga) Sackett, Leslie (Ed) Harris, and Lee Sackett.
