Luella Garner Passed June 22, 2024, at age 94.
Luella is preceded in death by her husband, Lee Garner and is survived by 1 sister, two children, 2 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
Luella left home in Idaho at age 19 to embark on a 72-year journey with her husband Lee. They became business owners in Reno.
The most remembered, the Chocolate Pit. They decided to leave the city and bought the
Spud Nut shop in Fallon.
They remodeled, added on and once again built a thriving restaurant, The Cock N Bull.
Luella is remembered for her pancakes, waffles and chili. But, her pies were very much loved. One holiday she baked 58 pies.
She received a write-up in a magazine comparing her pies to Marie Callender’s. Quite a compliment!
In her spare time, she knitted or crocheted constantly creating many beautiful things.
Luella will be greatly and deeply missed by those who were lucky enough to be a part of her journey.
A graveside committal will be held on Friday, July 19, 2024, at 9:00 am at the Fallon Cemetery.
