Roger Germain of Carson City aka “Shorty” passed away Jan 13th from pneumonia. He was 82.
He was born and raised in Derry NH.
He is preceded in death by wife Jimmie, her son Danny, parents Henry, and Marie, siblings Rita, Norm, and Jerry.
He is survived by his fiancé Donna, stepfamily, Joanne, Peggy, and her husband Vince, Danny’s wife Bunny, many grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
He served in the Navy aboard the USS Kearsarge, and they retrieved the 1st space capsule in ’62.
He was invited to go on the honor flight to Washington D.C.
He was president of toastmasters for 2 yrs. and won 1st place for most humorous speech.
He was also in the Gold Hill Theater Troop.
He and Donna danced and did skits for The Senior Follies. They loved to go dancing.
He was still working at LifeSkills Unlimited & received an award for 16yrs. of outstanding service!
He was a great caregiver & listener, was always helpful, generous & kind. He loved life and will be very much missed by those who knew and loved him.
