Rainbo Jo Tims, age 50, died early Sunday, March 17, 2024, at his home in Reno, Nv. He passed from a heart attack that was very unexpected.
He was born at S. Lake Tahoe on June 23, 1974, to Joseph Danley Tims and Vail Anet [Oberski] Tims. He was ‘larger than life’ and was loved by all. Everyone enjoyed his humor and how he laughed at his own jokes.
so contagious. Rainbo was raised on a ranch in the Caron Valley, NV. He grew strong and knowledgeable there... enjoying sports, skiing, hiking, horses, dirt bikes, and the lakes. He was always close to his older brother, Sage. They were a team. After graduation he went to UNR for two years, until he decided to develop his own construction business: Rainbo Tims Concrete. His expertise was in multilevel foundation design and stained stamped concrete. His clients would rave over his abilities, workmanship, and care in the results of his jobs. Rainbo liked following the Raiders and LA Dodgers.
He loved being with his children: Kayla, Ivie and Mason Tims, at the lakes, rollercoaster parks, family BBQs and watching them play sports, do plays, debate and grow. He is survived by his 3 children, 3 grandchildren: Aelia, Layla and Layton, his siblings: Sage Tims, Leila Forsythe, Beva Sewell, Ned Sewell, and Peaches Geto Also, by his mother, Anet [Netti] Sewell and many Aunts, Uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and former partners in marriage, Naomi and Jackie ... all who love him very much.
A ‘Celebration of Life’ will be held this summer for all who knew and loved Rainbo, as we do, to hug each other, grieve together and celebrate a most wonderful man. He will be missed by his community.
