Colleen Murphy Glover

November 30, 1946 -

A wife, a mother, a grandma too
This is the legacy we have from you.
You taught us love and how to fight,
You gave us strength; you gave us might.
A stronger person would be hard to find,
And in your heart, you were always kind.
You fought for us all in one way or another,
Not just as a wife, not just as a mother.
For all of us you gave your best,
Now the time has come for you to rest.
So go in peace, you've earned your sleep,
Your love in our hearts, we'll eternally keep.

On October 25, 2024, at the age of 77, the Lord called home the rock of our family. Colleen Murphy Glover was born to Dan Murphy and Eldeane Taylor Murphy on November 30, 1946, in Reno, Nevada. She was a 4th generation Nevadan, growing up in Carson City and raising her own family there as well. She graduated from Carson High School in 1964. She attended the University of Nevada, Reno following high school before finding her way to the Carson City District Court Clerk's office where she spent the entirety of her career (37 years) serving the citizens of Carson. Throughout her career she formed many bonds and touched many lives. One of her dearests being that of her good friend Mike Griffin. She spoke highly of him all the way up until a couple days before her passing. Colleen's life revolved around her family. Being a mother and a grandma was always her number one priority. We are truly blessed she was ours.
