Deborah Lynn Graf passed away at home July 26th
with her children by her side. Debbie was born February
4th, 1953, in Yokohama Japan to Earnest and Patricia
Sherman, the third of four children, Due to her father’s
military career She lived in New Mexico and Maryland
before finally settling in Southern California. She attended
school in both Orange and Anaheim California before
graduating from Buena Park High School in 1971.
Debbie worked at Disneyland where she was a main
street hostess for many years. In the late 1970s she
relocated to South Lake Tahoe California and in January
of 1981 married Robert Conti. Together they had two
children. Nicholas, born in 1981 and Amanda born in
1986. Debbie was a homemaker but as the kids got
older, she worked at both CC Meneley Elementary, as
well as Pau-Wa-Lu middle school and in the evenings
worked at the Carson Valley Inn as a banquet waitress.
In July of 1999 she married John Graf, and together they
celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary Just one day
before her passing. At their home in Wellington. Nevada
she was able to explore the hills, tend to her animals, and
garden while making many lasting memories with her five
grandchildren. Debbie was predeceased by her Mother
& and Stepfather, her Father and Stepmother, and her
Stepson Adam. She is survived by her, husband of 25
years John Graf of Wellington. Nv, son Nicholas and his
two children Paul and Tyler of Carson City, NV, daughter
Amanda and her three children, Conner, Kaelyn, and
Lillana of Gardnerville, NV, sister Teri of Trinidad, CA ,
brothers Danny of Grand Ronde OR, Michael and wife
Lisa of Anacortes, WA, half-sisters Michelle Moe, and
Stacey Lund with their families of southern California
Debbie was always so full of energy and love for her
family, friends, and animals. She will always be in our
hearts. loved. and never forgotten.
There will be a celebration of life on September 21st from
noon to three pm at Lampe Park in Minden.
