Doyle Henry Owens

September 20, 1941 - March 1,2025

It’s with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Husband and Father, Doyle Henry Owens. Born September 20, 1941, in Upland, California, to Virgie Mae Croslin Owens and Henry Owens. Passed March 1, 2025, in Carson City, Nevada, where he had been a resident since 2006, when he married Rilla Douglas.

He spent his early years working in the oil fields of Coalinga and Taft, California. He retired as a Diesel Mechanic for Robinson Timber of Grass Valley, California.

His retirement time was spent working on classic cars and attending car shows where he won multiple awards. He started his Carson shop with a 1963 Ford Thunderbird followed by a Ford Model T, the His and Hers T Buckets which were his favorite, and most recently a Red 1934 Ford Coupe. All gave him great pleasure.

He is survived by his wife, Rilla Owens of Carson City.

Daughters - Tina Laird of Daytona Beach, Florida, Virgie Rupe of Bakersfield, California, Carol LaRue of Daytona Beach Florida, and Cheryl Bates of Port Orange, Florida.

Adopted Daughters - Oleta Swift of Oakley, California and Natasha Cole of Browns Valley, California.

Step-son - John Miller of Santaquin, Utah.

Plus four stepdaughters

Sisters - Wanda Bailey of Fellows, California and Pamela Walker of Coalinga, California. He is also survived by many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

A Celebration of Life will be held at his home on March 29, 2025, followed by a funeral and laid to rest near his mother, fathers and sisters at Pleasant Valley Cemetery in Coalinga, California on April 1, 2025.
