Obituary: Stephen A. Hays

Jan. 8, 1922 - May 14, 2013 Stephen A. Hays passed away as peacefully as he lived his life on May 14, 2013. Stephen was born on January 8, 1922 in Monet, MO, to Harry and Hazel Hays. He spent his childhood in Iowa and received his BS in Chemistry from Iowa State College. He earned his MS in Chemical Engineering at the University of California at Berkeley prior to enlisting in the United States Army Air Corps, where he served as a B-24 Pilot in the Pacific during World War II. He spent many years as a chemist in the aerospace industry and retired from Rockwell International in Southern California in 1987.
