The annual process of closing National Forest recreational facilities around the Lake Tahoe Basin for the winter season begins in mid-October, according to the Forest Service Lake Tahoe Basin Management Unit.
A man who has been contacted for illegally camping at Stateline since 2016 was taken into custody earlier this week after deputies found he’d been setting fires.
Most National Forest recreation sites around the Tahoe Basin are now open
