Airport business community member sought for Airport Advisory Committee
With work underway to bring management of Minden-Tahoe Airport back under county control, the Airport Advisory Committee saw eight people apply for four seats.
After 13 years, Douglas County commissioners approved a nearly $400,000 plan to bring management of Minden-Tahoe Airport back in house.
Airport manager ABS Aviation President Michael A. Hodges said in a statement issued on Wednesday afternoon the company turned over the keys to the county 5 p.m. Tuesday at the request of County Manager Patrick Cates.
Douglas County is currently seeking a Request for Proposal for airport operations and management services for the Minden-Tahoe Airport.

Douglas County commissioners are scheduled to appoint new members to the committee and to several other boards at their Jan. 10 meeting.
Douglas County commissioners are being asked to approve a $774,007 contract to rebuild Airport Road and the parking lot on Thursday.
