Snow at Kirkwood was two skiers deep this week in this photo by Minden resident Jay Aldrich. He said the bathrooms at Carson Pass are completely buried.
Record snow throughout the region is stacking up to be one of the largest snowpack years in recorded history, which could also raise waterways on national forests on both sides of the Sierra to unsafe levels.
